Lemon and mint virgin mojito
We love shaking up a virgin mojito with a Frobishers twist! A class mojito consists of lime and mint but we like to replace the lime flavours with lemon for a fruity punch.
You will need:
- Frobishers Lemon and Mint Cordial
- Ice cubes
- Mint leaves
- Fresh lemon juice
- Soda water
- Brown sugar
Method:
- Crush up your sugar and mint leaves, then add the lemon juice and cordial
- Top up with ice and fill to the brim with soda water
- Sit back, sip and enjoy!
Hot lemon and mint
Last year, we released one of our best-kept secrets - warming up our cordials! It’s super simple and tastes lovely. All you need to do is fill your mug with boiling water from the kettle and add in one measure of cordial (this will differ depending on how strong you like the fruity taste). Then give it a mix to ensure the cordial is thoroughly dispersed.
Enjoying our lemon and mint cordial warm is definitely one of our favourite ways to wind down after a long day. If you’re a fan of cosy, warm drinks then you’ll definitely love this one. The warming sensation is soothing and makes the perfect accompaniment for a relaxing evening.
Pimp your Prosecco
If you’re in the mood for a sophisticated treat or you’re having some guests over for dinner, you might want to try this simple drink recipe. As delicious as prosecco is served on its own, it's nice to add a dash of cordial to excite the palette every once in a while.
Fill your glass with prosecco and top up with a dash of our lemon and mint cordial for a taste sensation! This elegant drink really will impress your guests and doesn’t require much effort at all so you can sit back and enjoy the company.
Afternoon refresher
Most people add a splash of cordial to water, but we like to go one step further. Sparkling water makes a fantastic mixer for cordial. It’s a great option if you want to enhance the fruits and botanicals and leave the taste buds fizzing with flavour.
This combination makes a lovely refreshing drink for the whole family and a perfect alternative to the pimped up prosecco for those who don’t want to drink alcohol.
An after-dinner treat
If you’re expecting guests, serve up the perfect after-dinner treat. It’s great to have a lighter choice if your visitors don't fancy pudding while hitting that sweet spot perfectly.
You will need:
- 600ml cold water
- 75ml Frobishers Lemon and Mint Cordial
- 4 gelatine leaves
Method:
- Pour the cordial in a jug and top up with 600ml cold water.
- Soak the gelatine leaves in 4tbsp cold water in a separate bowl for 5 minutes or until soft.
- Heat 150ml of the elderflower mixture in a small pan.
- Remove the gelatine leaves and add to the warm mixture, stir until dissolved and then stir into the cold mixture. Pour into glasses and allow to set for 3-4 hours in the fridge.
