JUICE UP JANUARY: MOCKTAIL TIPS

January, the month of detox, diets and damaging credit card bills, is never a licensee’s favourite. Frobishers urges bar and pub operators to look at their soft drinks offering to cater for post-Christmas booze-free bar-goers.

Good quality mocktails (alcohol-free cocktails), presented with perfect serve technique, can be fruitful profit generators during the nation’s leaner months. In fact we’re featured in this month’s Bar magazine sharing that exact advice (‘Virgin Territory’, p34-35). So, to help you with your creative inspiration, we’ve done the thirsty work to develop a range of mocktail recipes using our premium fruit juices. They’re a perfect, sin-free solution for your customers. They’re high on taste and great for boosting premium juice sales at the bar.

The Very Berry, a muddle of Bumbleberry Juice – our unique blend of strawberry, raspberry, blackberry and blackcurrant puree – lime juice, gomme syrup and egg white is a favourite. Shake well and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon and some fresh raspberries or blueberries and you have an elegant and cosmopolitan addition to your adult premium soft drinks offering.

Bloody Marys are back in vogue too, says The Times Online, especially the ones made using Frobishers Tomato juice, like those at Michelin star pub and restaurant The Hinds Head, featured in the article. Try our Virgin Mary, minus the vodka, or our Grapefruit Mojito, minus the rum.

We’d love to hear your own Frobishers recipe ideas – the best ones could appear on our site and if they do, we’ll send you a case of your favourite juice to say thank you.
