Dry doesn’t have to mean dull for customers on a January detox – Frobishers has been talking to Bar Magazine about how winter mocktails like our Bumbleberry Cinnamon Punch can liven up soft drink sales this month.
With a number of health charities backing the ‘Dryathlon’ and ‘Dry January’ campaigns this year, more and more people are going booze-free for the month.
We believe soft drinks should never be the boring option and January is the perfect opportunity to introduce premium mocktails to pub, bar and restaurant menus.
Our sales and marketing director Steve Carter says: “Mocktails offer operators a great opportunity to turn what historically has been seen as a down time in the drinks trade to a time when you can drive change and raise premium soft drink sales. An imaginative and engaging mocktail menu can do much to raise the awareness of your soft drinks portfolio, encouraging your customers to think further than run-of-the-mill soft drinks and instead choose a premium drink that can help raise profits.”
Bar and drinks specialist Blackleaf Events has also been championing one of our original ‘Unusual Suspects’ mocktails, the Bumbleberry Cinnamon Punch. This lightly spiced, warming winter mocktail mixes Bumbleberry juice with fresh orange juice in an ice-filled glass rimmed with cinnamon and sugar, topped up with lemonade and garnished with a slice of orange and cinnamon stick.
