The 5 Best Homemade Ice Lollies Recipes

And best of all, they’re made using delicious Frobishers drinks.

One thing we are often asked is - can you freeze fizzy drinks to make ice lollies? You absolutely can! Fizzy drinks make the perfect homemade ice lollies, as they are full of flavour and are ready to use. Simply pour your favourite Frobishers Sparkler into an ice lolly mould, and freeze for at least four hours.

Fruit juice also makes a great base for ice lollies and can be enjoyed as a healthy and refreshing treat for the whole family. Pour your favourite Jubilant Juice (such as Orange Juice) into an ice lolly mould, and wait until it’s frozen before enjoying.

Lemonade Ice Lolly

What you will need:

Method:

  1. Pour the lemonade into your ice lolly moulds, leaving a little bit of space at the top. If you are using slices of lemon or a sprinkle of lemon zest, add these in now.
  2. To make it a boozy treat, you could also add in a dash of gin! 
  3. Place the moulds in the freezer for at least four hours, or until frozen solid.
  4. To release the ice lollies, simply run the moulds under some warm water for a few seconds.

Apple Ice Lolly

What you will need:

Method:

  1. Pour the apple juice into your ice lolly moulds. If you are also using fresh apple pieces, add these in now.
  2. Place the moulds in the freezer for at least four hours, or until frozen solid.

Summer Berry Ice Lolly

What you will need:

Method:

  1. Pour the Bumbleberry Juice into your ice lolly moulds. If you are adding in fresh summer berries, leave enough space to put these in and add them.
  2. Place the moulds in the freezer for at least four hours, or until frozen solid.

Fruit Fusion Ice Lolly

What you will need:

Method:

  1. Pour your favourite Frobishers Fusion into your ice lolly moulds.
  2. Place the moulds in the freezer for at least four hours, or until frozen solid.

Pina Colada Ice Lolly

Fancy adding a little bit of alcohol to your fruity ice lollies for the ultimate summer cocktail cooler? Try our classic Pina Colada ice lolly recipe.

What you will need:

Method:

  1. Mix all of the ingredients in a blender
  2. Pour into ice lolly moulds
  3. Freeze for at least 4 hours

Bonus Recipe! - Spruce up your Summer drinks with homemade fruit ice cubes!

Another fun activity for the family this Summer is making fruit ice cubes! They are a great way to make drinking water more exciting and to use up any leftover fruit you may have.

Simply pop them in glasses or bottles of water, or serve with your favourite soft or alcoholic drink.

What you will need:

  • Ice Cube Moulds or Trays
  • Mixed fruit (Top Tip! Choose small fruits like raspberries and blueberries or chop up larger fruits into small pieces)

Method:

  1. Wash and chop the fruit into small pieces and place into the tray
  2. Fill the remainder of the tray with water
  3. Freeze for at least four hours, or until frozen solid
