Origin Of The Mai Tai Cocktail

This Mai Tai recipe is based on the classic Hawaiian cocktail. Full of fruity flavours, perfect for a Summer’s day.

INGREDIENTS

30ml Frobishers Orange Juice

30ml Frobishers Pineapple Juice

30ml dark rum

30ml light rum

30ml fresh lime juice

15ml orgeat syrup

15ml orange curaçao

Spring of fresh mint for garnish

Pineapple slice for garnish

Maraschino cherry for garnish

Crushed ice

METHOD

1.

In a cocktail shaker, combine the fresh lime juice, Frobishers Orange Juice, Frobishers Pineapple Juice, dark rum, light rum, orgeat syrup, and orange curaçao

Fill the shaker with crushed ice and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well chilled

3.

Fill a glass with crushed ice and strain the mixture into the glass

4.

Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry
