How to Make the Perfect Piña Colada

Puerto Rico is the birthplace of this much-loved cocktail, and we’ve put our very own Frobishers spin on it. Our Pineapple Juice is sweet with a tropical twist, with pineapples sourced from all over Costa Rica, Ecuador and Guatemala. The MD2 variety that we use is famous for its sweetness, hence why it makes the ideal summery cocktail.

In this recipe, we will guide you through how you can shake up your very own punchy Piña Colada.

What you'll need:

  • 90ml Frobishers Pineapple Juice
  • 60ml Cuban spiced rum
  • 15ml freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 25m coconut cream

How to make your punchy Piña Colada

Before you start to mix things up, you need to choose your rum. We like to use Cuban spiced rum as it works well with the pineapple and coconut flavours. But feel free to use your favourite rum of choice.

Once you've got your spirit based sorted, put all of your ingredients into a blender and whizz them up until they are smooth and creamy. If you want to go above and beyond, you can also freeze some pineapple chunks and throw those into the mix for a thicker consistency.

Serve over crushed ice and garnish with a wedge of fresh pineapple and a maraschino cherry.
