Rum is produced in over 80 different countries and is made from sugarcane juice or molasses. It has a wide range of flavours, depending on where it is produced and what type of ageing process it undergoes. Typical rums used in cocktails include white rum, dark rum, spiced rum and flavoured rums. 

Simple mixes such as rum and apple juice or orange juice are refreshing and easy to make, while more complex cocktails can be created by adding other ingredients such as liqueurs, spices or fruit.

MANGO MOJITO

A tropical spin on the classic Mojito, made with delicious mango juice, this cocktail is sure to be a Summer favourite.

INGREDIENTS

60ml white rum

20ml lime juice

12 mint leaves

120ml Frobishers Mango Juice

Crushed ice

METHOD

1.

Muddle 12 mint leaves with 20ml lime juice in a shaker

2.

Add 60ml white rum and ice; shake well

3.

Strain into a glass filled with crushed ice

4.

Top with 120ml Frobishers Mango Juice

5.

Garnish with a mint sprig and lime wedge

INGREDIENTS

Pitcher Jug

250ml Frobishers Pineapple Juice

250ml Frobishers Orange Juice

100ml Dark Rum

150ml White Rum

100ml Strawberry Grenadine

Lime Juice

Ice

METHOD

1.

In a pitcher jug, combine all of the ingredients together & stir

45ml Coconut Rum

90ml Frobishers Pineapple Juice

60ml Frobishers Cranberry Juice

Squeeze of Lime

Splash of Grenadine Syrup

Crushed Ice

METHOD

Combine Coconut Rum, pineapple juice, cranberry juice and Grenadine syrup and stir

Pour cocktail mix into a Highball glass with crushed ice

Top with a squeeze of lime juice

Garnish with a slice of lime
