Frobishers is committed to being a responsible and socially conscious company, and we are proud to support FareShare particularly in the South West to help tackle food and drink waste and support the local community. 

FareShare is the region's largest food distribution charity, and they work to prevent perfectly good food and drink from going to waste by redistributing it to local charities that provide meals for people in need. 

By supplying FareShare with our drinks, we are able to help support up to 400 charities across the South West and make a positive impact in the community.

Yes, Frobishers is committed to sustainability and has taken steps to reduce our environmental impact. We have a greenhouse gas summary for 2022 and are proud to hold a carbon neutral certificate. These achievements demonstrate our commitment to being a responsible and environmentally conscious company.

Most of the fruits we use in our drinks cannot be grown in the UK, and some of those that can be sourced here are not grown in large enough volumes to meet our requirements. We don’t use any air freight in our supply chain to keep emissions as low as possible. Our priority is always choosing the best tasting ingredients from ethical suppliers. We have worked with most of our suppliers for many years so we can trust them to always produce consistently delicious fruit.

Yes, at Frobishers, we work incredibly hard to ensure our packaging products and are as sustainable as possible. Our products are 100% recyclable and all our online orders are sent out in plastic free packaging only using paper based materials.

We still use plastic based wraps for pallets and cases on the B2B side, however, this material is recyclable, and the case wrap is made from 50% recycled material. Eco-friendly alternatives are being developed, such as sugar cane bio film, we are keen to adopt these alternatives when application technology allows.

We buy our energy from 100% renewable sources and all our warehouse equipment, e.g. forklifts, is electric.

The majority of our carbon footprint is generated by our supply chain partners, e.g. hauliers. We continually challenge our partners on their carbon and CSR efforts. A few recent examples of our discussions are below:

• One of our bottling sites has an anaerobic digestion plant which generates its own energy.
  
• Our main haulier is exploring various fuel alternatives such as Liquid Natural Gas, and Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil fueled vehicles.
  
• Our main glass bottle supplier has installed photovoltaic panels to assist with their energy needs. The solar plant provides 100% of the electricity during the day, contributing to more than 30% of the total daily consumption.

Sustainability is high on the agenda with all our suppliers and we try and choose the most sustainable options available to us.

We have pledged to halve our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and to achieve net zero emissions before 2050. We will disclose our progress on a yearly basis.
